The DeleGate Project

Dear DeleGate users,

I inform you of the new release of DeleGate available as follows:
DeleGate/9.9.4 (STABLE) -- fixes for freezing in SSL and gzip

This release is a major fix to make DeleGate "multi-thread signal safe".
Through a intensive test with a heavy load using SSL or MITM, so many
problems were found in which DeleGate was broken or frozen in threads for
SSL and gzip when it caught signals as SIGTERM and SIGPIPE.
In such situation, DeleGate could cause eating 100% CPU in spin_lock, freeze
grabbing the port blocking new service to start, or generate core dumps.

 - fixed frozen or broken critical sections (mutex) by signal (SIGTERM, SIGPIPE)
 - fixed freezing or broken after longjmp in multi-threads
 - fixed freezing in mutex in signal handler
 - fixed freezing in MITM waiting request from client
 - fixed freezing in SSLtunnel waiting negotiation with server
 - fixed freezing in polling after interruption by a signal
 - fixed SEGV in SSLway by parallel update/access to the environment variable
 - fixed SEGV on signal in parallel threads for SSL or gzip
 - fixed SEGV or leak of SSL threads in MITM
 - fixed SEGV on SIGTERM during initialization and termination
 - fixed SEGV in SSL or Gzip threads on 64bits OS
 - fixed SEGV after spawning a large number of threads on 64bits OS
 - fixed SEGV on disk-full of /tmp
 - fixed SEGV on SMTPCONF=reject:nomx (9.2.4)
 - fixed HTTP keep-alive in MITM to make it work faster
 - fixed HTTP not to buffer POST body with FTOSV CFI
 - fixed HTTP applying X-Request: for FTOCL (9.2.3)
 - fixed HTTP Connection: "closed" to "close" (9.6.2)
 - fixed HTTP not to scan META in ResponseFilter for non-HTML data
 - fixed SERVER=exec (9.8.6)
 - fixed FTP broken cache on parallel cache updates
 - fixed FTP disabling PORT to serv. gatewayed from PASV with FTPCONF=noport
 - fixed /-/admin Directory viewer for file larger than 2GB
 - disabled -Ecc for FTP (for PORT)
 - fixed -Ecc not to make frozen process on client-side reset
 - fixed -Ecc not to reuse serv. of diff. port via SOCKS
 - fixed broken/frozen CFI output/input with "-fv" option
 - displaying/sorting files larger than 2GB
 - setting up chroot environ. for Linux, FreeBSD and Solaris10 by
 - making under a dir. with space char. in the dir. name
 - making with platform independent strcasestr()

 - allowed users with group-ID 3 (sys) to do SUDO and OWNER
 - disabled chunked encoding for "PowerSketch/Viewer"

 - enabled MOUNT to rewrite "Referer:URL" by the "where=ref" MountOption
 - matching with the host in "Referer:URL" by "udst={Hosts}" MountOption
 - added ORIGINAL_SERVER_NAME/PORT environment variable for NAT
 - implemented {next,prev} in /-/admin/ file viewer
 - introduced SERVER=ecc to make DeleGate work as a tiny and simple HTTP proxy
 - introduced STLS=fsv,im0.5 for timeout of implicit FTPS
 - connecting to FTPS server via FTP proxy with STLS=fsv
 - introduced "-Dfb" option to disable retrying FTP data conn. with binding
 - stop retrial of FTP data-connection with SRCIF="*:0:ftp-data-pasv-src"
